Mexico

We left Mesa at the crack of 1:45pm on Thursday.
We had to wait till the guys finished waxing the Coach.
Wash,Wax,Wheels,Windows.Tires= $200.00
What a Country.

We got to Nogalas AZ and got the Motorhome stored and checked into our flee-bag Motel 6.

It was depressing but it's the only place that takes dogs(the 4 legged kind)

So we found a real nice Italian Restaurant and went for Veal Scaloppini and Fettucini Alfredo and of course WINE

Then it was up at 5am, off to Ihop for breakfast hit the border at 7:10 and out of there in 40 minutes.NEW RECORD TIME.

The Temp was 3C/37F but soon dropped to 0C/32F but by 1:30 it was 30C/86F
We arrived at our approx 1/2 way destination (los Moches) at just after 3pm and have settled in with Wine and Beer.

Update

TUESDAY

Peg went golfing with the broads and I went with the guys.
I had 3 really shitty holes but the others were not so bad.

The important thing is I had a great time and I won $$$$$

After that the Fishers had everyone over for Ribs(yum yum) and of course we played Texas Holdem afterwards .I would have made more $$$$ at that game if I had of brought my glasses but that's another story.

We had a great time.
Then after us and the Kosh's got back to our park they got us really shit faced especially you know who.

Wednesday

You know who didn't want to get out of bed but I made her get up as we were heading to the Mexican Consulate to get all our paper work done before we get to the border.(we went a couple of days ago but they only do the paper work till 12:30 and we got there at 12:40)It's a 32 mile/51 km trip so we travelled 128 miles or 204 km for dick shit cause they could not do any of the paper work there at all.
Someone lied to me.
Oh Dear!

Peg slept all the way there and back then she went back to bed and didn't get up till 2pm

Later them Kosh's got us drinking again at happy hour.Then it was out for dinner at Fat Willy's with more wine.

Then we came home and got roadies for the drive around the park to see the lights.

A lot of the streets have a theme and everyone decorates the same.They all aren't ready yet and some had already shut off the lights and gone to bed or maybe they are just cheap.

Who knows but I'm sure it will look spectacular when they are done.

I think the wine might of had some influence on my picture taking abilities?
Ya think?

Soon we were back at the Kosh's being forced into drinking all the wine they had.

We never drank till we met them???????

Grey Cup

Mel and Gracie have been working their asses off on building a new back yard kitchen.

And a mighty fine job they are doing.

So that is where the Grey Cup party was held.

It was a crappy football game but we had lots of booze,great food and fantastic company.

And I won the final score in the pool.

We can afford to eat again today.

YUP

The men had a quiet day.

Why?

Cause all the broads went shop lifting at the Mesa Market.

After that Lori had us over for dinner,which was excellent, then we moseyed on over to the Fishers for a quiet game of Texas Holdem.

Twasn't my night but what the hell a good time was had by all.

FOUND

Peggy was cleaning the floor in the back bathroom and low and behold there was a sparkle and the diamond was found

AWESOME!

Mesa

Well! We didn't find the diamond.

Said good-bye to Casa Grande and headed up to Mesa again.

We got parked beside Jim and Lori and of course it was happy hour again.
We didn't get any turkey for Thanksgiving but we understand one is being cooked for the Grey Cup party at Mel's on Sunday.

The weather is still outstanding and it looks like it will stay that way at least until we leave the country.

GONE

HAPPY AMERICAN THANKSGIVING

Someone may be giving thanks for Peggy's diamond.

Gone is the solitaire that sat on top of her engagement ring.

Oh Dear!

There are so many places it could have gone.We will spend some time looking but I think the odds of finding it are poor,like I'm going to be if I have to buy another one.

Golfing

Peg stayed home making salads and stuff for dinner for everyone.

I went golfing with the boys.

Everyone bitched about my handicap but when all was said and done I shot 2 over my cap.
No more bitching.

The numbers I shot this year just don't work out to anything.

When we got back we had a BBQ at Don and Max's

We added a couple of people more from the night before.

Don and Holly,more friends we met on the road the road and my major source of what books to read.


Everybody had a good time and it was great seeing them all again.we did however forget to take pictures until everybody was almost gone.

                             Isn't this just like Peggy to find a matching glass in Max's cupboard

Casa Grande

The first day here we just watched the race and then slipped over to the bar to meet our friends who are football fanatics.
Spent a couple of hours visiting with them,went for dinner and that was that.
Yesterday was shop,shop,shop and soon it was happy hour.

Happy hour was at Max and Don's

Just to keep things straight Max is a lady

As usual happy hour lasted more than an hour but the happy part is correct.

Living in a class C

They never stop yipping.

The last 2 mornings they woke me at just after 5am.They yip and their owners slam compartment doors and go in and out slamming doors till 6 am when they drive away.The dogs never stop yipping.

As everyone knows I am not an early riser and 5 am is what I call early.Once I'm awake for an hour I am not going back to sleep so we will be on the road early this morning.

Going to head on down to Casa Grande for a few days to visit some other friends

DOOS

The puppies got new doos today

Ugliest bows I've ever seen

But the dogs are cute.

While they were getting dooded up we met Dale and Karen again for lunch.

This time at Romano's Macaroni Grill

Too much food and too much wine but it was good.

On the way home we stopped across the street and had one more for the ditch at Gary and Dianne's.

They used to be clients of Peg's

Then we met some people with the same car as us but that's another story.

Mesa

Tuesday we went to visit our friends from St Albert,Dale and Karen.

After catching up we went for lunch and yapped some more.

Got home about dinner time so dinner was a bust.

Wednesday we shopped and did some chores around the house and just bbq'd and relaxed.

Not so for another friend of mine.

His wife was complaining that her breasts were too small.
He suggested she rub toilet paper between them for a few seconds every day and that over time her breasts would grow to be very large.
She thought this was strange and asked him again if he really thought if she rubbed toilet paper between them every day they would grow really big.
Without missing a beat he said"Of course it will work,it worked on your ass didn't it"

I am going to visit him in the hospital later today.
They claim he will walk again with a great deal of therapy but he will always have to take his meals through a straw.

Monday

We left the track Monday morning just before the crack of noon and headed back to Mesa cause we could not find a place to take us near Chandler.

We have a crappy spot but we were tired and we didn't think about how bad it was till we got set up and now we are too lazy to move.

We will endure.

The weather had cooled off for a couple of days but the sun never stopped shining.It is supposed to start heating up again today

Sunday

As you can see the camping here is tight.

Not a whole lot of room.

Would have been real close on the other side too but no one showed up.

Who knew?

Sunday was the big one and it had a dramatic ending.

Kyle led most of the laps but not the important one,the last one.

Lots of excitement near the end with an intentional wreck and a fight.Nascar is getting to be like hockey.

We just partied before,during and after the race and again a great time was had by all and I got another $5.00 from Mel

Saturday

Saturday was the Nationwide Race

Mel and  Lew met us at the track.

Lew is the one who got us our tickets

We have some good rivalry cause Mel is total Chevy,  Lew is Ford and I'm Kyle Busch who just happens to drive a Toyota.

A toyota won but unfortunately it was not this one.

The good news is

Kyle set a new track record and has the Pole for Sunday's cup race

There was also a 50 lap K & N West series race where both Carl Harr and his son Daryl (from St. Albert) both competed and had respectable finishes.

First there is partying

Then we attended the truck race 

There was some wrecks

There was some fistycuffs

And a great finish with the right truck winning

Then of course there was more partying.

We moved out here on Tuesday.
This is really the desert and wow is it hot.I fried the eggs on the hood of the car this morning.
Well,maybe not but it's hot.

Someone is taking it easy!

We met 4 couples that are here camping together.1 from Edmonton,1 from Moosejaw.1 from Sacremento and the alcohol made me forget where the other couple is from.

We went to their place last night for a fire and had a great time.

And once again Bob is your uncle.

PHOENIX

Drove from no where to Mesa 650 miles/1046 km way too much driving for me in one day but what the hell.
We are here.
Had a few with the Kosh's and the Fishers then crashed for the night.

More Texas

We are somewhere in Texas at a picnic area where we spent the night.It's now 6:15 am and we are having coffee----Why--- cause I forgot to tell me to turn the clocks back an hour last night.

We could start driving but it it black as hell out there and I cannot see.I guess we will have to wait for Mr. Sun,then hit the road and Bob's your uncle.

We left Nashville at the crack of 9am cause we had to wait for Rod and Kathy. Yup!

Spent the first night just inside the Texan border and now in Grapevine which is just outside of Dallas.

Leaving here and heading for Arizona next.
