Snow

The day started off well,a little cold but the sun was shinning.

As I drive and drive I look over at my Co-pilot to get directions and what do I find?

She is sound asleep.

We head up the monster hill at Butte Montana and what greets us? A snow storm,how lovely!
We did make it as far as Great Falls where we are spending the night in the deep freeze with the Eskimo's.
Just great

WE LEFT

We left Vegas before the crack of noon.

It was 11:50

We drove a few feet out on to the highway when I realized the new pump we had installed at Camping World was not working.So I fired up the car and left it running,no way I was heading south back to CW south of Vegas, so we headed north to CW in St George Utah.

They were useless.First of all he said he didn't know anything about the pumps and he could not get me in till Thursday.I told him I had called the manufacturer of the pump and it would be easy to resolve.No way,thanks for the great service.
Spent the night there and watched the race I had taped from Sat night.

Called CW in Draper Utah.He said bring it in and he will look at it.Arrived there after 3pm and he pulled a tech off another job and fixed it.A wire had fallen of the pressure release valve which was hid under the air filter holder.No Charge.Great people,great service.Awesome

We are spending the night here in Draper.

Last Day

It was our last day in Vegas

We went to see Ron White

Great show.

Got home at 2am again

This town is hard on old folks

I need a rest

Just a thought!

As I was lying in bed pondering the problems of the world,  I rapidly realized that I don't really give a rat's hiney.  It's the tortoise life for me!

1. If walking is good for your health, the postman would be immortal.

2. A whale swims all day, only eats fish, drinks water, and is fat.

3. A rabbit runs and hops and only lives 15 years.

4. A tortoise doesn't run and does nothing, yet it lives for 450 years.

And you tell me to exercise?? I don't think so.

I'm retired. Go around me.

                                      We have to start heading back to the frozen north soon.

                                               In the mean time we are still enjoying Vegas

                               We are still up money for the time we have been here but it is dwindling fast

Wednesday

Camping World called and said the car was ready

The car was ready but the bill took another hour of waiting

Just under $500 bucks to get it fixed under warranty and 9 days of waiting

I guess I'm just another happy camper.

Tuesday

Eight days ago I took the car to Camping World to get a replacement pump for the transmission so we can tow it behind the coach.
It's under warranty and the manufacturer told me it was covered.
I agreed to pay extra to have it overnighted as we would be leaving town in a couple of days
Camping world called today as they finally have an opening in the service dept.
Sure glad I paid to have the parts overnighted
We dropped the car off and I guess we wait to see when they call.
Chris loaned me his truck so we have transportation

After dropping the car off it was shop shop shop
We do love these outlet malls

Out to dinner and then off to see Terry Fator

WOW! Just a fantastic show.Well worth the money even if we had of paid.
Terry is a singer who does impressions and comedy with puppets.
He won Americas Got Talent a few years back.
Highly recommend if your in Vegas.

ANOTHER GOOD BYE

Chris left for the frozen north this morning.He will be back in 9 days but we will be gone.

At the crack of noon we went shopping.Shop,shop,shop

Our first stop was the Mirage where we picked our tickets for Terry Fader on Tues night.Peg actually won enough points playing some game on face book to get free tickets,and they are good seats

While we were standing in the line we noticed that Ron White would be performing there on Saturday night so we bought tickets to his show also.

We did a Costco Run and a Walmart shop and that was enough for the day.

Home to relax and BBQ up a couple of them there steaks we bought earlier.

The Weekend

Saturday was a quiet day just relaxing.I have really had too many late nights for my age

                                        Chris's friend Kira dropped by for a visit in the afternoon

We just hung out in the sun and took it easy.

They took off and Peg and I BBQ'd and watched the race.

Sunday we started out by watching the race

Then we moseyed on over to the sluts who were not kind to us.We then tried the tables but it was not our day.
So we took our ball and went home.

At the top of the canyon we are bused from the airport to the Skywalk

We thought about going out on the skywalk but you can't take a camera or anything with you that might chip the glass??????

We decided it was just too much money just to say you did it.The view is the same from the land.

Almost everybody seemed to think it was a rip and didn't go out there.

(All the people you see on the skywalk wearing red are employees)

You won't get me this close to the edge

It's a long way down

Here you see where the rock is cracked and we are all going to fall into the canyon with it.

But we feel safe now cause they have a rope holding it together??

We did walk around the site for a while

You can tell that's Peg cause she has her  white name tag on

I'm not sure what Chris is up to

Now we are bused over to a different site where we had a hot dinner and cold water

The views are spectacular

So we head out here to the point

An old mining site

Boy decides to climb out over the canyon on this structure, da!

Then it was back to the chopper for the ride home

This was interesting

This was a landing strip built to simulate an aircraft carrier so the pilots could practice their landings

It was also the site of the last scene in Thelma and Louise where they drove off the cliff.

Cool!

Back over Lake Mead

Just beautiful

We flew down the strip on the way home.

I took a movie rather than pictures

Then it was back to the airport where the limo took us home or rather just to the Casino where our luck was not as good as the past few days.

All in all a great day.

BIG DAY

We start off with the limo picking us up at Circus Circus.

And off we go

Our chopper is fuelled and ready to go.

It's up up and away over the strip

Over Lake Mead

Fly over The Hoover Dam

Into the desert

Over the Grand Canyon

Down the Colorado river

Landing at the Basin of the canyon

Magnificent 

Then it's down to the boat.

We go for a run down the Colorado

It's just a great day

Love the water

From the river we head back to the Chopper

Mike our pilot takes us up to the top of the canyon.
