The Big Day

When I first woke up this morning I realized it was here.
The big day
I'm scared.
I hate this
You know the day is coming and you try to avoid it but sooner or later you have to face the music as they say(Whom ever the hell they are)

I'm chicken
After I shower and get ready to go I start to sweat.
Better throw on a little extra after shave cause of the sweat.
The time has come
It's been somewhere between 5 and 10 years since I've done this but today is the day.

I open the door, sweating like a pig cause I am scared, but I'm here cause my wife made me come
She tells me to relax and don't worry but I'm holding on to the chair for dear life.

Not long after I arrive I'm out the door and felt nothing after getting my teeth cleaned
It was no big deal
I don't see why some people make all the fuss about going to the Dentist
Silly them.

New Arrivals

Peggy's cousin Bev and her husband Wayne arrived Saturday night.
I'm not sure what the women did but Wayne brought good scotch so we killed a bottle of it.

Sunday
Being the wonderful hosts that we are we ditched Bev and Wayne and went to Puerto Vallarta to meet up for breakfast with other friends who were staying in town

Max and Don,Sheila and Tom

We had breakfast at the marina and then headed to the bar

OHHH it's early!
We must have fun with Don's shit

Soon we were heading back to our company.

We just seemed to carry on

Ended up back at the Huanacaxtle
Dancing and stuff
And bob's your uncle

Another Going Home Day

We sent the Fishers off home today.

I remembered the camera and a fresh battery.

Johnny snapped a pic
of Buddy

For 3 years now, Buddy has
been standing beside the
road with his flag 247 365

We always wave when we
pass him bye

I know! It doesn't take much to amuse us

The Fishers were only going to Mesa to finish out the winter before heading to Edmonton

We hope they enjoyed themselves as much as we did.

> When the Fishers were in the Phoenix airport they noticed another couple

> They are dressed in heavy boots, parka, scarf, mittens and all ready to head home to the Canadian winter .

>
> An older American couple standing nearby is intrigued by their manner of dress .

> The wife says to her husband, "Look at that couple. I wonder where they’re from?"

> He replies, "How would I know?"
> She counters, "You could go and ask them."
> He says, "I don’t really care. You want to know, you go ask them."

>
> She decides to do just that, walks over to the couple and asks,
> "Excuse me. Noticing the way you’re dressed, I wonder where you’re from?"

>
> The Canadian farmer replies, "Saskatoon, Saskatchewan" .

>
> The woman returns to her husband who asks, "So, where are they from?"

> She replies, "I don't know. They don't speak English."

Camera

I remembered to bring the camera

Hooray!

We pick up Jo at 10 am and head for PV

I wanted to get a picture of "Buddy" so when we were passing him by I gave the camera to Johnny to snap one.

DEAD BATTERY

Go figure
xoxz@x#

We went to our little island type restaurant at the marina in PV for breakfast.

Next we hit the Casino.
Peg lost a couple of bucks,Jo and Linda broke even I made 6 pesos(48cents) and Johnny scooped enough to buy shit all day

Next it was off to the Cheeky Monkey to meet Gayle and Ron.
Gayle had a camera

So at least we got some pictures

Next it was over to Old town to the beach bar.

Back to La Cruz where we had Margaritas at the Huanacaxtle and up to the 109 Restaurant for dinner
That didn't work out
We started with some kind of bean soup which no one would eat except for Peggy who hates beans.
The menu consisted of fish, fish and more fish which nobody wanted so 3 decided to have clam chowder and then we would move on for dinner
No clam chowder
Ok so now we are going to leave and low and behold they now have clam chowder but it's too late we are out of here.
It's back to old reliable Frascatti's where we have a great meal as always

We dropped Jo at home and proceeded home to hang a licken on the Fishers at Holdem

A Fantastic day

And Bobs your uncle

Runaway

The plan was to go for breakfast and then hit the Sunday Market

All I'm going to say is that it turned into a bit of a Runaway.

So here is a joke

A couple are at the airport in Arizona awaiting their flight .

>

>

>

>

No Pics

I seemed to have forgotten we own a camera.

We sat around the pool again and watched John burn.
That was exciting?

We went to Bucerias and sat on the beach and watched the sun set.Not quite as exciting.

We had dinner a restaurant we had never had dinner at and will never have dinner at again. Now that was exciting.

Came back to La Cruz and visited our normal haunts

Watched a little Barrett Jackson.

Saturday
We went to town for lunch then came back and watched a little Barrett Jackson

Gave the Fishers a lesson in Texas Holdem

Peg made us a great dinner of Fresh Red Snapper and Shrimp.

Watched a little more Barrett Jackson (4.3 Million dollars for the #1 Bat Mobile?)

Then watched "Ted"
Hilarious!

What the Hell-Who needs a camera?

Whatever

The maid didn't show so Peggy had to make the bed for the Fishers.
I thought she had forgot how but somehow she managed.

The maid did show up a day late.We don't know why cause she no speak the English and we not so good at the Spanish.

So we went to Karen's in Bucerias for breakfast.

Later we hung around the pool for a while.

There was major shrinkage in the pool(but not for these two)

The sun wasn't out that strong but it was acceptable.

After we went to Eva's Brickhouse for drinks,Frascatti's for dinner and Ososo's for more drinks and to listen to Brian Savage play the sax.Thats sax as in saxophone not what your thinking

Arrival

Monday and Tuesday were quiet days for us.We needed the rest. Dootsie came over and made us chicken and dumplings southern style(if you know Cracker Barrel restaurants, well it's her recipe that they use)Yummy!
She also taught us Mexican Train Dominos.

Wednesday it was off to the airport to pick up our friends Linda and John

But first off the plane was another friend
Gayle and her new beau.(small world)
We also ran into another couple we know from
St Albert in the parking lot(they will be ok,no
serious injuries)

One picture and security was there .No pictures in the airport.New Law I guess.

John and Linda finally appeared after being on the ground for way over an hour.

After settling them in it was off to the Huanacaxtle for drinks and snacks.

Then Philo's for Pizza

Finishing off at the neighbours for our very very last one.

Lazy

It didn't start out that way but now we are taking it easy.

Sunday was our usual start out by going to the Huanacaxtle for the afternoon band session and as usual it turned into a runnaway.

Enough said.

Monday was quiet,Drove Peg into get a Pedicure but other than that we did nothin.
We need the rest.

Going Home Day

Another going home day.Not for us of course but for the Bennetts.
We sat by the pool so they could catch their last few rays and the kids could play in the water

But all too soon the cab arrived and it was time to go

See you in the spring

And they were gone.

It was The Taste of La Cruz day so off we went to that
Bev from next door came with us and we met up with Jodie and Steve there.

Tina and Cher were there but I didn't see them eat anything?

Last year admission was free and so was all the food. Not this year. They charged admission and you had to pay for the food.Who wants to have dinner on a paper plate while standing.
We went to a Mexican restaurant that we had never been to before and not only was the food good but Jodie rented an apartment from them.
She moves in on Tuesday

And Bob's your uncle.

Sailing

Jodie's friend Steve took everybody sailing on his boat.Well, everybody but me that is.I don't do ocean.

Looks like everyone got to pilot the craft for a while

There was even a sighting of the rare Photo bird Wendy

They did see some dolphins and some whales also.

There are some nice yachts in the marina but this is not one of them.

Neither is this.

They all had a good time and it was a great day on the water.
The dogs and I just laid around the pool.

Later we went to town for drinks and pizza.
